Job description

Design and Engineering: Collaborating with clients and design teams to develop custom body designs or modifications that meet their unique needs, whether it involves creating new bodies from scratch or altering existing ones. Material Selection: Choosing appropriate materials for constructing vehicle bodies, considering factors such as strength, durability, weight, and cost. Common materials used in automobile body building include steel, aluminum, fiberglass, and composite materials. Fabrication and Assembly: Cutting, shaping, and welding materials to construct vehicle bodies according to design specifications. This may involve working with various tools and equipment such as saws, drills, shears, and welding machines. Assembly of body components such as panels, doors, roofs, and frames is also part of the process. Structural Reinforcement: Strengthening the vehicle structure as needed to accommodate additional weight, cargo, or equipment, ensuring structural integrity and safety. Customization and Modification: Incorporating specialized features or modifications into vehicle bodies to suit specific applications, such as adding compartments, ramps, lifts, shelving, or specialized storage solutions for commercial or industrial purposes. Installation of Accessories: Fitting and installing accessories such as lights, mirrors, bumpers, grille guards, winches, and other exterior components onto the vehicle body as required by the client or project specifications. Painting and Finishing: Preparing vehicle bodies for painting by sanding, priming, and masking off areas as needed, and applying paint or other finishes to achieve the desired appearance. This may involve using spray guns, paint booths, and various painting techniques to achieve high-quality finishes. Quality Control and Testing: Conducting thorough inspections and tests to ensure that vehicle bodies meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations. This includes checking for proper fitment, alignment, structural integrity, and functionality of all components. Documentation and Compliance: Maintaining accurate records of materials used, work performed, and specifications followed during the body building process.
