Job description

Installation of AC Systems: Install air conditioning systems in vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards. This may include mounting components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and refrigerant lines. Diagnosis of AC Issues: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot problems with vehicle air conditioning systems. Diagnose issues such as leaks, compressor failures, electrical faults, and refrigerant deficiencies. Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance tasks to restore the functionality of vehicle AC systems. This may involve replacing defective components, repairing leaks, flushing and recharging refrigerant, and testing system performance. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations. Recover, recycle, and recharge refrigerant as needed, ensuring compliance with EPA guidelines and industry best practices. Component Replacement: Replace worn-out or damaged components of the AC system, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, blower motors, and seals. Ensure proper fitment and alignment of replacement parts. Electrical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical issues affecting the operation of vehicle AC systems. Test electrical components such as switches, relays, sensors, and wiring harnesses to identify faults and perform repairs as necessary. Performance Testing: Conduct performance tests to evaluate the cooling capacity, airflow, and overall efficiency of vehicle AC systems. Use pressure gauges, thermometers, and other diagnostic tools to assess system performance and make adjustments as needed. Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to prolong the lifespan of vehicle AC systems and prevent unexpected failures. This may include cleaning components, lubricating moving parts, and inspecting for signs of wear or damage. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports, repair invoices, and parts inventory. Document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and recommendations for future maintenance. Customer Service: Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear explanations of AC system issues, repair options, and associated costs. Address customer concerns and ensure their satisfaction with the service provided. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
