Job description

Diagnostic Testing: Conduct diagnostic tests on vehicle air conditioning systems to identify issues, leaks, or malfunctions affecting cooling performance. System Inspection: Inspect components of the AC system, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, hoses, and refrigerant lines, to assess their condition and determine necessary repairs or replacements. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly, following environmental regulations and industry best practices for refrigerant recovery, recycling, and disposal. Leak Detection: Use leak detection tools and techniques to locate and repair refrigerant leaks in the AC system, ensuring proper sealing and containment to prevent environmental harm and loss of cooling efficiency. Component Replacement: Replace or repair faulty or worn-out AC components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, or blower motors to restore proper functioning and cooling capacity. System Flushing and Cleaning: Flush and clean AC system components to remove contaminants, debris, or moisture that can affect system performance or cause damage over time. Pressure Testing: Perform pressure tests on AC system components to check for leaks, verify system integrity, and ensure proper refrigerant circulation and pressure levels. Recharging Refrigerant: Recharge AC systems with the appropriate type and amount of refrigerant according to manufacturer specifications, using refrigerant recovery and charging equipment to achieve optimal performance and efficiency. Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting AC system operation, such as faulty wiring, switches, relays, or sensors, and repair or replace defective components as needed. System Performance Testing: Conduct performance tests and temperature checks on AC systems to verify proper operation, cooling capacity, and temperature control under various operating conditions. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of AC system inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, to track service history and facilitate warranty claims or customer inquiries. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their AC system concerns, provide estimates for repair or maintenance services, and communicate effectively about service recommendations, progress updates, and completion timelines.
