Job description

System Diagnosis: Conducting diagnostic tests to identify issues with vehicle air conditioning systems. This may involve inspecting components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, refrigerant lines, and electrical connections to pinpoint the source of malfunctions or leaks. Refrigerant Handling: Handling refrigerants safely and responsibly according to environmental regulations. AC technicians evacuate and recharge AC systems with refrigerant as needed, ensuring proper levels and pressures for optimal cooling performance. Component Replacement: Removing and replacing faulty or worn-out components in AC systems, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, driers, and hoses. AC technicians use specialized tools and equipment to disassemble and reassemble AC components correctly. Leak Detection and Repair: Detecting and repairing leaks in AC systems using leak detection tools and methods. AC technicians identify leaks in refrigerant lines, connections, or components and perform necessary repairs or replacements to restore system integrity and prevent refrigerant loss. System Flushing and Cleaning: Flushing and cleaning AC systems to remove contaminants, debris, and moisture that can affect system performance and longevity. AC technicians use flushing agents and specialized equipment to flush refrigerant lines, evaporators, and condensers thoroughly before recharging the system. Pressure Testing: Conducting pressure tests to assess the integrity and efficiency of AC system components. AC technicians pressurize systems with nitrogen or dry air to check for leaks, verify system tightness, and ensure proper refrigerant containment before recharging. Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting electrical issues in AC systems, including wiring problems, faulty relays, switches, or sensors. AC technicians use multimeters and diagnostic tools to test electrical circuits, verify component functionality, and diagnose electrical faults accurately. System Performance Testing: Testing AC system performance under various operating conditions to evaluate cooling capacity, air distribution, temperature control, and overall system functionality.
