Job description

Diagnosing AC System Issues: Identifying problems with the vehicle's air conditioning system by conducting visual inspections, using diagnostic equipment, and performing tests to pinpoint the root cause of malfunctions. Repairing or Replacing Components: Performing repairs or replacements on various components of the AC system such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, hoses, and refrigerant lines. Recharging Refrigerant: Checking refrigerant levels, recovering old refrigerant, and recharging the system with the appropriate type and amount of refrigerant according to manufacturer specifications. Testing System Performance: Conducting performance tests to ensure that the AC system is functioning optimally, including checking for proper temperature output, air flow, and pressure levels. Identifying Leaks: Detecting and repairing leaks in the AC system using leak detection tools and methods, such as UV dye and electronic leak detectors. Performing Routine Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance tasks on AC systems, such as cleaning components, lubricating moving parts, and replacing filters to prevent issues and prolong the lifespan of the system. Providing Customer Service: Interacting with vehicle owners to explain AC system issues, recommended repairs, and maintenance procedures, as well as providing cost estimates and answering any questions they may have. Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines when working with refrigerants and other potentially hazardous materials, as well as following proper procedures for handling tools and equipment. Keeping Records: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including diagnostic findings, repairs made, parts replaced, and service intervals, for documentation and future reference. Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with advancements in automotive AC technology, new repair techniques, and safety regulations through ongoing training and professional development.
