Diagnostic Testing: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with vehicle air conditioning systems. System Repair: Repair or replace faulty components within the air conditioning system, such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and refrigerant lines. Follow manufacturer specifications and service manuals to ensure proper installation and function. Refrigerant Handling: Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly in compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards. Recharge AC systems with the correct type and amount of refrigerant, following recommended procedures for recovery, recycling, and disposal. Leak Detection and Repair: Detect and repair leaks in AC systems using leak detection tools and techniques. Seal leaks in refrigerant lines, fittings, or components to prevent loss of refrigerant and ensure system efficiency. System Performance Testing: Perform performance tests and temperature measurements to assess the effectiveness of air conditioning systems. Verify proper cooling capacity, airflow, and temperature control to ensure optimal comfort and efficiency. Electrical Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot electrical issues affecting AC system operation, such as faulty wiring, relays, switches, or sensors. Test electrical components for continuity, voltage, and resistance to identify and resolve wiring or electrical component faults. System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep AC systems in good working condition. Clean or replace air filters, inspect belts and pulleys, lubricate moving parts, and check refrigerant levels to prevent system malfunctions and extend component lifespan. Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their concerns, explain repair options, and provide cost estimates for AC repairs or services. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of AC repair and service activities, including diagnostic findings, repair procedures, parts used, and service history. Document customer information, invoices, and work orders for billing and warranty purposes.
