Assisting Patients or Clients: You assist patients, clients, residents, or students with their daily needs and activities, such as dressing, bathing, grooming, eating, or moving around. Monitoring Vital Signs: In healthcare settings, you may be responsible for measuring and recording patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, and respiration rate, and reporting any abnormalities to healthcare professionals. Providing Personal Care: You help individuals with personal care tasks, including toileting, changing diapers, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Assisting with Mobility: You assist individuals with mobility issues, such as using wheelchairs, walkers, or crutches, and provide support with transferring to and from beds, chairs, or vehicles. Ensuring Safety and Comfort: You ensure the safety and comfort of individuals under your care by monitoring their environment, preventing accidents or injuries, and responding promptly to their needs or requests for assistance. Providing Emotional Support: You offer emotional support and companionship to individuals who may be feeling lonely, anxious, or distressed. You listen attentively, offer encouragement, and provide reassurance to help alleviate their concerns. Assisting with Activities of Daily Living: You assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, drinking, dressing, and grooming, to help them maintain their independence and quality of life. Assisting with Therapy or Rehabilitation: In healthcare or rehabilitation settings, you may assist therapists or rehabilitation specialists with exercises, treatments, or therapy sessions as directed. Maintaining Cleanliness: You help maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the environment by cleaning and sanitizing rooms, equipment, and common areas, as well as disposing of waste properly. Transporting Individuals: You may assist with transporting individuals to appointments, activities, or outings, ensuring their safety and comfort during transit. Following Care Plans: You follow care plans, protocols, or instructions provided by healthcare professionals or supervisors to ensure that individuals receive appropriate care and support. Documenting Observations: You accurately document observations, activities, and interactions with individuals in logs, charts, or electronic records as required for documentation and reporting purposes. Communicating with Care Team: You communicate effectively with other members of the care team, including nurses, doctors, therapists, and supervisors, to provide updates on individuals' conditions, needs, and progress. Responding to Emergencies: In case of emergencies or crisis situations, you remain calm and respond quickly to provide assistance, administer first aid, or summon help as needed.
