Job description

Patient Consultations: Conducting thorough medical consultations with male patients to assess their reproductive health concerns, medical history, and symptoms related to conditions such as erectile dysfunction, infertility, and hormonal imbalances. Diagnostic Testing: Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to evaluate male reproductive health, including semen analysis, hormone testing, imaging studies (such as ultrasound), and genetic testing to identify underlying causes of reproductive disorders. Treatment Planning: Developing individualized treatment plans for patients based on diagnostic findings, medical history, and patient preferences. Recommending appropriate treatment options, including medication, lifestyle modifications, surgical interventions, and assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Erectile Dysfunction Management: Assessing and treating erectile dysfunction (ED) through a combination of medical therapies, lifestyle modifications, and psychological interventions to improve sexual function and quality of life for patients. Infertility Evaluation and Management: Evaluating male infertility factors through semen analysis, hormonal testing, and other diagnostic procedures. Providing counseling and treatment options for couples experiencing infertility, including sperm retrieval procedures, fertility medications, and ART. Hormonal Evaluation and Management: Assessing hormonal imbalances in male patients, including conditions such as hypogonadism (low testosterone) and hyperprolactinemia. Prescribing hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and monitoring treatment response to optimize hormonal balance and improve reproductive function. Sexual Health Counseling: Providing counseling and education to male patients on sexual health topics, including contraception, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), sexual dysfunction, and sexual wellness. Addressing psychological and emotional factors that may impact sexual health and intimacy. Fertility Preservation: Counseling patients on fertility preservation options, such as sperm banking, for individuals undergoing medical treatments (such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy) that may impact fertility. Follow-Up Care: Monitoring patients' progress and response to treatment through follow-up visits, ongoing evaluations, and adjustments to treatment plans as needed. Providing ongoing support and guidance to patients throughout their reproductive health journey. Research and Education: Engaging in research activities, clinical trials, and academic pursuits to advance knowledge in the field of andrology and contribute to improvements in patient care. Participating in medical education and training programs for medical students, residents, and fellow healthcare professionals.
