Job description

Patient Assessment: Perform thorough assessments of guests' health status, including vital signs monitoring, physical examinations, and medical history reviews. Identify signs and symptoms of illness, injury, or medical emergencies requiring immediate attention. Emergency Response: Provide prompt and effective first aid and emergency care to guests experiencing medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, allergic reactions, or respiratory distress. Administer basic life support measures, initiate CPR, and stabilize patients for transfer to higher levels of care as needed. Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies to guests according to established protocols and physician orders. Ensure accurate dosage calculations, medication reconciliation, and documentation of administration records. Wound Care and Dressing Changes: Assess and manage acute and chronic wounds, injuries, and surgical incisions in accordance with evidence-based wound care practices. Cleanse wounds, apply dressings, and monitor healing progress while preventing infection and promoting tissue regeneration. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for guests' health and well-being by communicating their needs, preferences, and treatment preferences to healthcare providers and interdisciplinary care teams. Ensure that guests receive timely and appropriate medical interventions, referrals, and follow-up care. Health Education: Provide health education and counseling to guests on topics such as medication adherence, disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive healthcare measures. Empower guests to make informed decisions about their health and wellness through personalized education and support. Infection Control: Implement infection prevention and control measures to minimize the risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) within the resort environment. Adhere to standard precautions, hand hygiene protocols, and isolation procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary healthcare setting. Health Promotion Activities: Coordinate health promotion activities and wellness programs for guests, such as health screenings, immunizations, and health fairs. Collaborate with resort staff and external healthcare partners to promote healthy behaviors and encourage preventive healthcare practices. Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and medication administration records. Use electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper-based charting methods to document patient care activities and ensure continuity of care. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, pharmacists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for guests with complex medical needs or multiple comorbidities. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care conferences, and case management meetings to optimize patient outcomes. Crisis Intervention: Provide emotional support, counseling, and crisis intervention services to guests experiencing psychological distress, trauma, or mental health crises. Assess guests' mental health status, implement de-escalation techniques, and facilitate referrals to mental health professionals or crisis intervention resources as needed. Professional Development: Pursue ongoing professional development opportunities, such as continuing education courses, workshops, and certifications, to enhance clinical knowledge, nursing skills, and best practices in resort healthcare delivery.
