Patient Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, symptoms, and physical examinations. Assessing patients' needs and identifying any changes in their condition. Medical Care: Providing basic medical care to patients under the supervision of physicians or other healthcare providers. Administering medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by healthcare providers. Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques. Providing information on preventive care, lifestyle modifications, and disease management strategies. Wound Care: Performing wound care procedures, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring the healing process of wounds and surgical incisions. Providing instructions for wound care at home and monitoring for signs of infection or complications. Assisting in Procedures: Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers in medical procedures and examinations. Preparing patients for procedures, providing support during procedures, and monitoring patients' responses. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of patient assessments, care interventions, medications administered, and other relevant information. Documenting patient progress, changes in condition, and response to treatment. Patient Advocacy: Advocating for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system. Communicating patients' concerns, preferences, and wishes to healthcare providers and assisting patients in accessing resources and support services. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care. Communicating effectively with colleagues and patients to facilitate interdisciplinary teamwork and patient-centered care. Emergency Response: Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care and support to patients in crisis situations. Administering emergency treatments, initiating life-saving measures, and coordinating with emergency medical services as needed. Quality Improvement: Participating in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects to enhance patient outcomes and improve the delivery of nursing care. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices to optimize patient care. Professional Development: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities, such as continuing education, training programs, and certification courses, to maintain and enhance nursing skills and knowledge. Staying updated on advances in nursing practice, healthcare technology, and evidence-based interventions.
