Job description

Patient Care: Providing direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Assessment: Conducting patient assessments to gather information about patients' health status, symptoms, and medical history. Performing physical assessments and collecting data to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Medication Administration: Administering medications as prescribed by physicians, including oral medications, injections, intravenous (IV) therapy, and other treatments. Monitoring patients for adverse reactions and providing education on medication use. Wound Care: Providing wound care and dressing changes for patients with surgical wounds, injuries, or chronic wounds. Monitoring wound healing progress and assessing for signs of infection or complications. Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies. Providing instructions on post-discharge care, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, medication administration records, and progress notes. Documenting patient responses to treatments and interventions. Collaboration: Collaborating with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans. Communicating patient updates, concerns, and changes in condition to the healthcare team. Patient Advocacy: Advocating for patients' rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system. Ensuring that patients receive respectful, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care. Emergency Response: Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate care and support to stabilize patients. Performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and other lifesaving interventions as needed. Infection Control: Implementing infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections in healthcare settings. Following standard precautions, sterilization protocols, and isolation procedures as appropriate.
