Job description

Patient Assessment: Conducting comprehensive assessments of patients' health status, including vital signs, medical history, and symptoms. Gathering information to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Medication Administration: Administering medications as prescribed by physicians, including injections, oral medications, and intravenous therapy. Monitoring patients for adverse reactions and providing patient education on medication use. Wound Care: Performing wound assessments, dressing changes, and wound care procedures. Monitoring wound healing progress and providing recommendations for wound management. Patient Education: Providing patient education on health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies. Instructing patients and their families on proper techniques for managing chronic conditions and promoting overall wellness. Assisting with Procedures: Assisting physicians and other healthcare providers with medical procedures, examinations, and diagnostic tests. Preparing patients for procedures, assisting during the procedure, and providing post-procedure care. Patient Advocacy: Advocating for patients' needs, preferences, and rights within the healthcare system. Communicating patients' concerns and preferences to the healthcare team and ensuring that patients receive compassionate and respectful care. Documentation: Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) or medical charts. Ensuring compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care. Participating in interdisciplinary rounds, meetings, and care conferences to discuss patient progress and treatment plans. Emergency Response: Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate nursing care in emergency situations. Performing triage, administering life-saving interventions, and stabilizing patients until further medical attention is available. Infection Control: Implementing infection control measures to prevent the spread of infections within the healthcare facility. Adhering to standard precautions, hand hygiene protocols, and isolation procedures to maintain patient safety. Patient Advocacy: Serving as advocates for patients by ensuring they receive appropriate care, treatment, and support. Addressing patients' concerns, preferences, and needs while respecting their autonomy and dignity. Continuing Education: Engaging in ongoing professional development activities to enhance nursing knowledge, skills, and competencies. Attending educational seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best practices and evidence-based care.
