Job description

Treatment Planning: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical conditions, needs, and preferences. Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accuracy in dosage, route, and timing. Educate patients about medication usage, potential side effects, and precautions. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and self-care techniques to promote health and wellness. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and well-being within the healthcare system. Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure that patients' needs are addressed and their voices are heard. Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress and response to treatment, and report any changes in their condition to the healthcare team. Perform regular assessments, screenings, and diagnostic tests as needed. Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, including documenting patient assessments, interventions, medications administered, and other relevant information in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Infection Control: Implement infection control practices and protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within healthcare settings. Adhere to standard precautions, isolation procedures, and hygiene practices to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, or trauma. Perform CPR, first aid, and other life-saving interventions as required, following established protocols and guidelines. Collaborative Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate care and ensure continuity of services for patients. Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and well-being within the healthcare system. Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers to ensure that patients' needs are addressed and their voices are heard. Professional Development: Stay updated on advancements in medical knowledge, evidence-based practices, and nursing standards through continuing education, professional development activities, and participation in relevant training programs.
