Job description

Check-in and Boarding: Assisting passengers with the check-in process, including issuing boarding passes, tagging luggage, and providing information about flight details, boarding gates, and departure times. They also facilitate boarding procedures, including seat assignments and boarding announcements. Baggage Handling: Handling passenger baggage, including loading and unloading luggage onto aircraft, operating baggage conveyors and handling equipment, and ensuring that baggage is correctly routed to the appropriate aircraft and destination. Aircraft Marshalling: Guiding arriving and departing aircraft on the ground using hand signals and lighted wands to direct pilots during taxiing, parking, and gate positioning, ensuring safety and efficient movement of aircraft on the airport apron. Aircraft Servicing: Performing aircraft servicing tasks such as refueling, servicing lavatories, water replenishment, and performing pre-flight inspections to ensure that aircraft are prepared for departure according to airline and regulatory standards. Ground Transportation: Coordinating ground transportation services for passengers, including shuttle buses, taxis, rental cars, and airport transfers, assisting passengers with transportation arrangements, and providing information about local transportation options. Security Screening: Assisting with passenger security screening procedures, including conducting security checks, screening passengers and carry-on luggage using X-ray machines and metal detectors, and ensuring compliance with security protocols and regulations. Customer Service: Providing assistance and information to passengers, addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints, and ensuring a positive and pleasant customer experience throughout the airport journey. Lost and Found: Managing lost and found services for passengers, handling inquiries about lost items, logging and storing found items, and coordinating efforts to reunite passengers with their lost belongings. Gate Operations: Assisting with gate operations, including gate assignments, boarding procedures, passenger announcements, and coordinating with airline personnel, ground handling agents, and other airport stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient aircraft turnaround times. Emergency Response: Assisting with emergency response and crisis management efforts at the airport, including providing support to passengers and airport personnel during emergencies, evacuations, or other critical incidents. Ramp Safety: Ensuring safety on the airport ramp and apron area by adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and following established procedures for aircraft movement, equipment operation, and vehicle traffic. Team Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues, airline staff, airport authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate and execute airport operations effectively, communicate relevant information, and address operational challenges or issues as they arise.
