Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy, adherence to accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS), and timely reporting. Bookkeeping: Record financial transactions in ledgers, journals, and accounting software. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions. Payroll Processing: Calculate wages, salaries, taxes, and deductions for employees. Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, and manage payroll processing efficiently. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, sales tax, VAT/GST) accurately and on time. Stay updated with tax regulations and changes to ensure compliance and optimize tax liabilities. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data and business goals. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights for decision-making. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, such as profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial projections. Interpret financial data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Audit Preparation and Support: Assist in the preparation for audits conducted by external auditors. Provide documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as needed during audit processes. Internal Controls: Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and prevent fraud. Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and manage cash balances to ensure liquidity for operational needs. Recommend strategies to optimize cash flow and manage working capital efficiently. Financial Systems Management: Utilize accounting software and ERP systems effectively to streamline financial operations, maintain data integrity, and generate accurate reports. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all financial activities and transactions. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments (finance, sales, operations) to support business objectives. Provide financial information, analysis, and guidance to facilitate decision-making and strategic planning.
