Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) to summarize and interpret financial position and performance. Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording transactions, posting debits and credits, and reconciling accounts. Ensure entries are entered correctly into the accounting system. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Process invoices, verify balances, issue payments, and follow up on collections. Maintain vendor and customer records. Payroll Processing: Calculate and process payroll, including deductions, taxes, and benefits. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and timely distribution of paychecks or direct deposits to employees. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial projections based on historical data and future trends. Monitor variances and provide analysis to management. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns (income tax, VAT/GST, etc.) in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Stay informed about tax laws and updates to ensure accurate and timely filings. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and variance analysis. Interpret financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks for decision-making. Auditing and Compliance: Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits. Prepare audit schedules, respond to auditor inquiries, and implement audit recommendations. Ensure adherence to audit standards and regulatory requirements. Financial Systems and Controls: Establish and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial data. Utilize accounting software and systems effectively. Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow by monitoring bank balances, reconciling accounts, and forecasting cash needs. Optimize cash resources and manage liquidity to support operational requirements. Financial Planning and Strategy: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making. Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Professional Development: Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends through continuing education and professional development. Maintain certifications (such as CPA, CMA) as required.
