Job description

Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions in ledgers, journals, and accounting software. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business goals. Monitoring budgetary performance and providing variance analysis. Tax Compliance: Calculating and filing taxes (e.g., income tax, sales tax, VAT/GST) accurately and on time. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and preparing necessary documentation for audits. Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to support decision-making, such as profitability analysis, cost analysis, and financial projections. Providing insights and recommendations based on analysis results. Payroll Processing: Managing payroll activities, including calculating wages, taxes, deductions, and ensuring timely payment to employees. Handling payroll-related compliance and reporting requirements. Audit Support: Assisting in the preparation and coordination of audits conducted by external auditors. Providing necessary documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as required during audit processes. Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and prevent fraud or errors. Monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures. Financial Systems Management: Utilizing accounting software and ERP systems effectively to streamline financial operations, maintain data integrity, and generate accurate reports. Cash Management: Monitoring cash flow projections and managing cash balances to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs. Recommending strategies for optimizing cash flow and managing working capital. Financial Advisory: Providing financial advice and support to management on strategic decisions, investment opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
