Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the hospital's financial performance. Present financial reports to management and stakeholders to support decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and management. Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted amounts and analyze variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee the hospital's revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, and claims processing. Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to payers, follow up on outstanding accounts receivable, and optimize reimbursement processes. Cost Management: Analyze costs and expenses across departments and service lines to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Implement cost control measures and monitor spending to ensure alignment with budgetary constraints and organizational priorities. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and industry guidelines governing healthcare finance. Stay abreast of changes in healthcare regulations and standards and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard hospital assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and address any deficiencies. Pricing and Reimbursement: Evaluate pricing strategies for hospital services and negotiate contracts with payers, insurers, and government agencies to optimize reimbursement rates. Monitor reimbursement trends and reimbursement rates to maximize revenue opportunities. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and performance metrics to assess profitability, productivity, and efficiency across hospital operations. Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, cost reduction, and process improvement to achieve financial goals. Capital Planning and Investment: Assist in capital planning and investment decisions by evaluating capital projects, assessing return on investment (ROI), and analyzing financing options. Participate in strategic initiatives to expand facilities, acquire new equipment, or implement new technologies. Financial Systems and Technology: Utilize financial software and information systems to record transactions, maintain financial records, and generate reports. Leverage technology solutions to streamline financial processes, enhance data analytics, and improve decision support capabilities.
