Job description

Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to reflect the financial position and performance of the organization. Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions accurately and maintaining financial records in compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, economic trends, and organizational goals. Monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures. Tax Compliance: Calculating and filing taxes accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Audit and Assurance: Participating in internal audits to review financial processes, controls, and compliance. Coordinating with external auditors during annual audits to provide documentation and explanations. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data and trends to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Identifying areas for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, or efficiency improvement. Financial Management: Managing cash flow by monitoring receivables, payables, and liquidity. Making recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency. Cost Accounting: Analyzing costs associated with production, projects, or departments to support decision-making and cost control measures. Financial Systems and Software: Utilizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) to manage financial transactions, generate reports, and streamline processes. Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about changes in accounting standards, financial regulations, and reporting requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Ensuring financial practices comply with legal and regulatory standards. Risk Management: Assessing financial risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. Implementing internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud. Communication Skills: Communicating financial information effectively to stakeholders including management, board members, investors, and external parties. Presenting financial reports and analysis clearly and comprehensively. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving accounting discrepancies, financial issues, or operational challenges. Investigating variances and discrepancies to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
