Job description

Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) to provide accurate and timely information to stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP or IFRS). Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Recording financial transactions and maintaining financial records accurately in accounting software or systems. Reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies to ensure the integrity of financial data. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business goals. Monitoring budget variances and providing analysis to support management decision-making. Tax Compliance and Planning: Preparing and filing tax returns (income tax, sales tax, payroll tax) accurately and on time. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Financial Analysis and Interpretation: Analyzing financial data and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance. Conducting cost analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling to support strategic planning and decision-making. Audit Support: Assisting in the preparation for audits by internal or external auditors, including providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as needed. Implementing audit recommendations and improving internal controls to enhance financial transparency and compliance. Financial Management and Advisory: Providing financial advice and guidance to management on financial matters, investment opportunities, and risk management strategies. Supporting business operations by interpreting financial data and trends to inform operational decisions and strategies. Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments (such as finance, operations, and sales) to gather financial information and support cross-functional initiatives. Communicating financial information effectively to stakeholders, including management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
