Job description

Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements) on a regular basis. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS). Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and reconciling accounts. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Providing insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Monitoring budget performance and preparing variance analysis reports. Tax Compliance: Preparing and filing tax returns (income tax, sales tax, payroll tax) accurately and on time. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws. Audit Support: Coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits. Providing documentation and explanations to auditors as needed. Financial Systems and Processes: Utilizing accounting software to manage financial transactions and maintain financial records. Recommending improvements to accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy. Cash Flow Management: Monitoring cash flow and ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs. Managing cash flow forecasts and optimizing cash management practices. Financial Advisory: Providing financial advice to management on business decisions, financial performance, and strategic planning. Participating in financial reviews and providing insights into financial implications of business decisions. Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Implementing and monitoring internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risks.
