Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders, management, and regulatory authorities. Bookkeeping: Record and maintain financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in accordance with accounting principles and standards. Use accounting software or spreadsheets to organize and categorize transactions for easy retrieval and analysis. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to guide decision-making, resource allocation, and performance evaluation. Analyze variances between budgeted and actual results and recommend corrective actions as needed. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to assess business performance, profitability, and financial health. Analyze financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trends to identify areas for improvement, opportunities for cost reduction, or strategies for revenue growth. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and accounting standards. Conduct internal audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls and identify areas of risk. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax returns, in compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations. Ensure timely payment of taxes, maintain tax records, and respond to tax inquiries or audits from tax authorities. Accounts Receivable/Payable: Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoicing customers, processing payments, and reconciling accounts to ensure accurate and timely collection and payment of funds. Follow up on overdue accounts receivable and negotiate payment terms with customers or vendors. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to ensure adequate funds are available for operating expenses, debt payments, and investment opportunities. Prepare cash flow forecasts, analyze cash flow trends, and implement strategies to optimize cash management. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and reporting requirements, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes and practices. Financial Planning and Strategy: Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making and planning. Assist in the development of financial strategies, business plans, and investment proposals to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Audit Support: Assist external auditors in the conduct of financial audits or reviews by providing requested documentation, explanations, and analysis of financial data. Address audit findings, recommendations, and inquiries to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate financial information, analysis, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders, management, and other departments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and management, to align financial goals with business objectives and initiatives.
