Bookkeeping: Recording financial transactions accurately in ledgers, journals, and accounting software. Maintaining and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitoring variances between actual financial results and budgeted amounts. Tax Compliance: Calculating and filing taxes, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines. Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to support business decisions, such as investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost control measures. Analyzing financial data and trends to identify areas for improvement or cost savings. Auditing and Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records. Assisting in audits conducted by external auditors and regulatory agencies. Financial Management: Monitoring cash flow and liquidity to ensure availability of funds for operational needs. Managing financial transactions, banking relationships, and investment activities. Payroll Processing: Processing payroll accurately and on time, including calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes. Financial Systems and Software: Utilizing accounting software and financial management systems to record transactions and generate reports. Recommending improvements to systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements, such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Preparing and filing financial reports with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
