Job description

Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial performance of the organization. Ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements. Bookkeeping and Record-Keeping: Recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including issuing invoices, processing payments, and managing collections. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business goals. Monitoring budget variances and providing analysis to support financial planning and decision-making. Tax Compliance and Planning: Preparing and filing tax returns (income tax, sales tax, payroll tax) accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial benefits for the organization. Auditing and Compliance: Coordinating and facilitating internal and external audits, including providing documentation, explanations, and supporting schedules. Implementing internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks. Financial Analysis and Advisory: Conducting financial analysis, interpreting data, and providing insights to management on financial performance, profitability, and trends. Offering financial guidance and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and business planning initiatives. Financial Systems and Software: Utilizing accounting software and financial management systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) to streamline processes, generate reports, and maintain financial records. Staying updated on technological advancements and recommending system improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Communication and Collaboration: Communicating financial information effectively to stakeholders, including senior management, investors, and regulatory authorities. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and legal, to support organizational objectives and initiatives.
