Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely financial information to management and stakeholders. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, industry trends, and business objectives. Monitor budget performance and variance analysis to identify areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements. Monitor accounts receivable, issue invoices, and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collection. Payroll Processing: Coordinate payroll activities, including calculating employee wages, processing payroll taxes, and preparing payroll reports. Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and performance metrics to evaluate the resort's financial health and profitability. Identify key trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard resort assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Conduct periodic audits and reviews to assess control effectiveness. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and occupancy tax, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay updated on tax laws and changes that may affect the resort's tax obligations. Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash resources. Coordinate banking activities, including bank reconciliations, deposits, and withdrawals. Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist in financial planning initiatives, capital expenditure analysis, and investment decisions to support the resort's growth and strategic objectives. Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for decision-making. Financial Software and Systems: Utilize accounting software and systems to record financial transactions, maintain accounting records, and generate financial reports. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular reconciliation and validation processes.
