Financial Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and payroll records. Financial Reporting: Preparing periodic financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the financial health and performance of the organization. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business goals. Monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted expectations. Tax Compliance: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and preparing tax returns (income tax, VAT/GST, payroll taxes) accurately and timely. Advising on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Audit Support: Facilitating internal and external audits by providing auditors with financial records, explanations, and supporting documentation. Resolving audit findings and implementing recommendations. Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost analysis to identify trends, areas of improvement, and financial risks. Providing insights and recommendations to management based on analysis. Bookkeeping: Performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling bank statements, and maintaining financial databases and spreadsheets. Payroll Processing: Managing payroll processes, including calculating wages, withholding taxes, preparing paychecks, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and employee benefits. Financial Systems and Software: Utilizing accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and financial management systems to streamline financial operations, improve efficiency, and maintain data accuracy. Communication Skills: Effectively communicating financial information to stakeholders, including management, clients, and regulatory authorities. Providing financial insights and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner. Ethical Standards: Upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information, transactions, and sensitive data. Adhering to professional codes of conduct and regulatory guidelines.
