Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, working closely with management to identify revenue and expense projections and track performance against targets. Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, trends, and variances to identify areas of opportunity or concern, and provide recommendations for improvement or corrective action. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, including timely filing of tax returns, payment of taxes, and implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities. Audit Support: Coordinate and facilitate external audits or reviews of financial statements, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and explanations to support audit findings. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions. Payroll Administration: Manage payroll processing, including calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls over financial processes and transactions to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software, ensuring that they meet the organization's needs and comply with industry standards. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity needs, forecast cash requirements, and manage cash balances and investments to optimize liquidity and maximize returns. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Financial Planning and Strategy: Provide financial insights and strategic guidance to senior management to support decision-making, identify opportunities for growth or cost savings, and mitigate financial risks. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders, including management, board members, investors, and external parties, and collaborate with other departments to achieve organizational goals. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about developments in accounting principles, regulations, and technology, and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
