Job description

Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts. Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements on a regular basis to reflect the financial position of the organization. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts based on historical data and anticipated revenue and expenses. Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations by preparing and filing tax returns accurately and on time. This includes income tax, sales tax, payroll tax, and other applicable taxes. Audit Support: Facilitate internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations to auditors. Ensure adherence to auditing standards and procedures. Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis to support decision-making. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting. Management Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), financial metrics, and variances from budget. Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure adequate funds are available for daily operations and strategic initiatives. Advisory Role: Provide financial advice and support to management on strategic decisions, financial planning, and operational matters. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations, and company policies. Maintain documentation of financial transactions and activities for audit and regulatory purposes. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on accounting principles, regulations, and industry trends through professional development and ongoing education.
