The primary purpose of an Accounting Teacher is to educate students in the principles of accounting and related topics, such as financial statement analysis, taxation, and auditing. They must be knowledgeable in all accounting topics and able to explain them in a way that is easily understood by their students. Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students' progress. Advise students on program curricula and career decisions. Provide individualized tutorial or remedial instruction to students who require it. Supervise independent or group projects, field placements, laboratory work or hands-on training.
