Curriculum Development: Designing and developing a comprehensive accountancy curriculum that covers fundamental accounting concepts, principles, and practices, as well as advanced topics relevant to the field. Financial Accounting: Teaching students the principles of financial accounting, including the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Managerial Accounting: Introducing students to managerial accounting concepts, including cost behavior, cost-volume-profit analysis, budgeting, variance analysis, and decision-making techniques. Accounting Standards: Educating students about accounting standards and regulations, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and their importance in financial reporting. Bookkeeping Practices: Teaching students basic bookkeeping practices, such as recording financial transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and preparing trial balances. Accounting Software: Familiarizing students with accounting software programs commonly used in the industry, such as QuickBooks, Peachtree, or SAP, and providing hands-on experience in using these tools to perform accounting tasks. Auditing Principles: Introducing students to auditing principles and techniques, including the audit process, internal controls, audit evidence, and audit reports, and their role in ensuring financial integrity and transparency. Taxation: Teaching students about basic tax principles, including income tax, corporate tax, sales tax, and payroll tax, and how to calculate and prepare tax returns for individuals and businesses.
