Job description

Curriculum Development: Designing and developing comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards and educational objectives in accountancy. Financial Accounting: Teaching students the fundamentals of financial accounting, including principles, standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and the preparation of financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement). Managerial Accounting: Introducing students to managerial accounting concepts such as cost behavior, budgeting, variance analysis, and performance measurement. Demonstrating how accounting information supports decision-making within organizations. Taxation: Educating students about basic principles of taxation, including income tax, corporate tax, sales tax, and tax compliance. Explaining tax planning strategies and implications for individuals and businesses. Auditing: Introducing students to auditing principles, procedures, and standards. Teaching audit techniques, risk assessment, internal controls, audit reports, and ethical considerations in auditing practices. Accounting Software: Familiarizing students with accounting software systems commonly used in business settings (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Providing hands-on experience in using software for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis. Problem-Solving Skills: Developing students' analytical and problem-solving skills through accounting exercises, case studies, and real-world scenarios. Encouraging students to apply accounting principles to analyze financial data and propose solutions. Ethics and Professional Standards: Discussing ethical considerations in accounting practices, professional conduct, and responsibilities of accountants. Emphasizing integrity, transparency, and adherence to accounting ethics guidelines. Classroom Instruction: Delivering engaging lectures, discussions, and interactive activities to facilitate understanding and application of accounting concepts.
