Job description

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial trends. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management. Monitor budget performance throughout the year, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable functions, including processing vendor invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts. Manage accounts receivable processes, invoicing customers, monitoring collections, and reconciling customer accounts. Payroll Administration: Coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages to resort staff. Calculate payroll deductions, taxes, and other withholdings in compliance with applicable regulations. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns for the resort, including income tax, sales tax, and occupancy tax filings. Stay informed about changes to tax laws and regulations that may affect resort operations. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives. Evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving measures, and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability. Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard resort assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards. Monitor financial transactions, identify risks, and implement control procedures to mitigate fraud and errors. Audit Support: Coordinate external audits and assist auditors in conducting financial reviews and examinations. Provide documentation, explanations, and support as needed to facilitate the audit process and ensure compliance with audit requirements. Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and investing idle funds. Implement cash management strategies to optimize cash resources and minimize borrowing costs. Financial Software Management: Utilize accounting software systems to record financial transactions, maintain accounting records, and generate financial reports. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by implementing proper controls and reconciliations. Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans, assess financial performance, and identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Compliance and Regulation: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to financial reporting, taxation, and accounting practices. Ensure that the resort remains compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
