Job description

Abacus Instruction: Teaching students how to use the abacus for performing arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Introducing students to different abacus systems (e.g., Soroban, Chinese abacus) and their respective techniques. Mathematical Concepts: Reinforcing fundamental mathematical concepts and number theory through abacus exercises. Demonstrating how the abacus represents numbers, carries out calculations, and develops mental math abilities. Problem-Solving Skills: Developing students' problem-solving abilities and logical thinking through abacus-based puzzles, challenges, and word problems. Encouraging students to apply abacus techniques to solve complex mathematical problems efficiently. Motor Skills and Coordination: Helping students improve fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and finger dexterity through regular practice with the abacus beads. Emphasizing accuracy, speed, and precision in using the abacus. Memory Enhancement: Utilizing the abacus as a tool to enhance memory retention and cognitive skills. Teaching mnemonic techniques and visualization strategies to aid in mental calculation and recall of mathematical facts. Individualized Instruction: Providing personalized instruction based on students' learning needs, pace, and proficiency levels. Offering one-on-one guidance and support to help students master abacus techniques and mathematical concepts effectively. Progress Monitoring: Assessing students' progress and proficiency in using the abacus through regular quizzes, evaluations, and performance assessments. Tracking improvements in speed, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities over time. Classroom Management: Establishing a positive and supportive learning environment conducive to abacus practice and learning. Managing classroom behavior, encouraging active participation, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere among students.
